The Long Emancipation: Moving Towards (Black) Freedom

This paper tackles the question what is (Black) freedom. It surveys a range to recent events to begin to make sense of Black non-freedom. By so doing the paper argues that we are yet to see what freedom might look like for Black subjects globally.

Our sub-project is dedicated to fictional conceptualisations of the future in the intersection and overlapping of internet, imagination and Africa and its Diasporas.
