Personal information: | Lauren is a lecturer in the Centre for Communication, Media and Society (CCMS) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal teaching graduate modules in development and public health communication from a participatory and culture-centred perspective. Her research interests and publication topics include: social change communication, cultural tourism and stakeholder partnerships, issues of identity, critical indigenous qualitative research, and memory. She has been a contributor to Prof Tomaselli’s Rethinking Indigeneity project, since 2002 in which both her MA and PhD were embedded W G C fellow Rethinking Indigeniety" and "Biesje Poort rock art recording" projects 4 pm Session 2: Presentations: Negotiating nature - culture relationships in social change partnerships: observations from the Kalahari. |
