Informationen zur Person:	Marlous van den Akker is a lecturer at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at Leiden University, where she teaches in the anthropology of environment. She studied at Leiden University and in the course of 2016 she will defend her doctoral thesis Monument of Nature? An Ethnography of the World Heritage of Mt. Kenya, for which she a did PhD research project funded through the Leiden Global Interactions Research Profile. Currently she is working on a number of articles and project proposals.
